i have a huawei e1550 datacard and 2g sim, i am getting only 128kbps down and 64kbps up speed. what could be the problem?

If you have subscribed to 3G services, try changing the network type to WCDMA

Mobile Parter Menu => Tools => Options => Network => NetWork Type => WCDMA Only

Also in the profile set apn name to bsnlnet.

Maximum data transfer rate in 2G (Actually it is 2.5G or EDGE) network is 384kbps. It depends on other factors like signal strength and network congestion etc.., go for 3G if you want good speed. But the cost per MB in 3G is higher compared to 2G.
